Attica, Ind.—Mrs. Alma Armstrong, 84, of Pence, died at 1:45 p.m. yesterday (Sept. 17, 1964) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Warren Jernegan of Williamsport. Born May 19, 1880 near West Lebanon, she was a daughter of Samuel and Caroline Graves Maurer. On Jan. 24, 1900, she was married in Williamsport to Isaiah Armstrong. He preceded her in death in 1955. Mrs. Armstrong lived most of her life in the Pence community. Survivors include a son, Van, of Warren County, four daughters, Mrs. Jernegan, Mrs. John Slauter of Pence, Mrs. Ray Galloway of Hoopeston, Mrs. Fred Bonebrake of Osceola, Ind., 17 grandchildren, 23 great grand-children, and a great-great-grandchild. Five children preceded her in death. The body is at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica where friends may call after 6 p.m. today. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pence Christian Church. The Rev. Douglas Dickey of Williamsport Christian Church will officiate, with burial in Jordan Cemetery in Pence.
